Lois retired to rural France in 2004 after a successful career teaching mathematics in comprehensive schools. She lives in an old farmhouse and keeps a motley selection of animals and pets. These form the basis of many non-fiction articles which have been published in Counrtry Smallholding, Cat World, and Yours. She has had short stories accepted by Bridge House and Park Publications.
Two books have been self-published: Not Another Bloody Goat (2005) describes the move to France, and Do You Know the Way? (2014), tells the story of Lois’ pilgrimage on foot across northern Spain.
In addition, Lois has written two novels and a vegetarian recipe book – all three looking for a publisher. She is currently preparing a memoir.
